General Overview of Grades Preschool - 5

The goal of the AISG elementary program is to provide students with a sound foundation for future learning. The program focuses on the child as an active learner, with the curriculum designed to cover all of the basic skills, as well as to emphasize critical thinking. The ultimate goal of the program is to prepare students to be responsible, productive citizens in a rapidly changing world.

The AISG curriculum is framed by the philosophies and practices of the International Baccalaureate's Primary Years Programme (IBPYP). It offers a comprehensive, inquiry-based approach to teaching and learning. Our globally minded students are encouraged to be inquirers, thinkers, communicators, risk takers, knowledgeable, principled, caring, open minded, balanced, and reflective. The PYP has been designed specifically for international schools.

The Expected Student Learning Result (ESLR's) are integrated into all aspects of the curriculum.
