Dear Students and Parents,

Welcome to the High School of the American International School of Guangzhou! For over a quarter of a century, AISG has maintained a proud tradition of academic excellence and our students consistently exceed global averages on all external indicators (IB, AP and SAT scores).

At AISG, we achieve our Mission - “Nurturing Students to Aspire and Achieve” - by providing all of our students with a wide range of opportunities, both inside and outside of the classroom. By the end of their time at AISG, our students should have made progress towards our Expected Schoolwide Learning Results (ESLRs):

• Be Critical Thinkers and Problem Solvers
• Master the Skills of Communication
• Develop Global Understanding and Citizenship
• Work Collaboratively and Cooperatively
• Become Lifelong Learners

They cannot do this by being passive participants at school. Our students are expected to take responsibility for their own education and to engage themselves in genuine but realistic challenges.

Our Grade 9-12 courses provides all of our students with a pathway to academic success, both at AISG and afterwards. Our After-School Activities (ASA) Program provides students with opportunities to gain experience in a wide variety of pursuits, and to take up positions of responsibility within the school.
