Welcome to MS Athletics

As Middle School Athletics Director it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to our Middle School Athletics page.

At AISG we have a comprehensive Middle School Athletics program aimed at providing sporting opportunities for all students across a broad range of abilities. Each of the competitive sports; soccer ,volleyball and basketball provide both a girls and boys Rams and Junior Rams team as well as a 'non-varsity' offering for social players and beginners. This system in effect provides students of all abilities the opportunity to be coached and to compete at their appropriate level.

Over the last two years AISG has been instrumental in forming the Southern Delta Region Conference (SDRC) which allows us to play regular competitive games with other like minded international schools in the region. The SDRC was created to meet the needs of our students and to better reflect AISG's sports program and it's philosophy. At the conclusion of each season, players compete in the SDRC's penultimate tournament that starts on a Thursday morning and concludes on a Saturday afternoon. These tournaments are a highlight of our MS sporting calendar and allow the athletes to experience the opportunity of competitive tournament play as well as traveling to other schools. All traveling athletes are hosted by the school organizing the tournament and as a result gain from the invaluable social experiences such occasions present.

In order to prepare students for their SDRC tournaments it is vital they have a competitive platform to build on, to facilitate this the students are involved in preparation games and mini-tournaments throughout their respective seasons.

AISG is very proud of it's Middle School program and it's success in the SDRC and its related events to date. The coaches and athletes have enjoyed tremendous support from the parent body, teachers and most importantly the students , who have ensured through their time, energy and commitment that the program is once again prepared for another great year.
