Grade 7 China Trip

The American International School of Guangzhou has a wide variety of activities designed to cater to it's students' different and diverse needs. In providing a platform from which students can select a variety of after school activities, whether from an arts, sport ,community or academic thread, they are able to carry on learning and experiencing in a safe, nurturing and accommodating environment. It has been our intention as a faculty to provide a diverse program that the students can enjoy and will want to participate in. I would also like to emphasize that participating in after school activities is a wonderful way to connect, meet new people from across the grades and new friends outside of the classroom.

Getting Involved in Extra Curricular Activities

Believe it or not, success during the secondary school years isn't just about how well your teen performs academically. There's an important aspect of secondary school that takes place after the last bell rings each day. I have listed below a number of reasons why After School Activities are important and in many international schools can serve as the backbone of the community. Colleges look for students who are involved. It's no secret that many colleges are selective about the students they accept. College admissions officers are looking for students who have applied themselves academically during the high school years and have used their free time in enriching ways.
