Rams in the Field: The AISG Impact That Lasts a Lifetime
At AISG, we talk a lot about impact; how our students transform knowledge into action, how they lead with compassion, and how they turn ideas into meaningful change. But what happens after graduation? What becomes of that energy, drive, determination and passion once a student leaves the halls of AISG?
The answer is simple: it doesn’t stop. It grows.
Across the world, our alumni, our Rams in the field, are carrying the AISG legacy forward. Whether they’re innovating in global media, leading in healthcare, or reimagining creative industries, their journeys reflect the truth at the heart of our mission: once a Ram, always a Ram.
Dr. Amy Wang (Class of 2006) is a powerful example of impact in health and community wellbeing. Now a medical doctor at RAMBO Medical Center in Hong Kong and an Honorary Clinical Tutor at The University of Hong Kong, Amy credits her early exposure to service at AISG, especially through Habitat for Humanity, with igniting her commitment to empathy and public health. Her extensive academic credentials and leadership in family medicine reflect the lifelong values she began nurturing as a student in Guangzhou.
Zoe Liu (Class of 2007) is shaping the future of tech and creative strategy as a Creative Strategy Lead at Snap Inc. in Los Angeles. Her work, bridging innovation and storytelling for some of the world’s most recognized brands, is grounded in a globally-minded, creatively-rich education. Zoe’s ability to navigate between technology and human experience is no accident. It’s part of the AISG Impact: fostering adaptable, thoughtful leaders who aren’t afraid to rewrite the rules.
Waiyee Yip (Class of 2004), now a journalist with The Straits Times, traces her path back to the power of being seen. During her time at AISG, her English literature teacher recognized her storytelling talent and encouraged her to pursue it fearlessly. That spark of belief launched a career in global journalism. Today, she reports from Taiwan, giving voice to stories that matter across Asia. “AISG taught me to think globally, write boldly, and listen deeply,” she says.
Whether it’s Tyan Bekooy (‘10) building hiring strategies at Canva, Calder Diong (‘09) leading acoustic engineering with empathy, or Charles Tang (‘15) directing international film festivals in Bhutan, each story reminds us: the AISG experience is a foundation for a lifetime of leadership and global connection.
These alumni represent success. They represent a school that believed in student potential, encouraged and inspired students to take risks, opportunities, and follow their dreams. A community, Ramnation, that continues to cheer them on.
