#SPBound Story Series – Innovative Learning Spaces

What is #SPBound?

What is #SPBound? Our Grade 4 and 5 Upper Elementary students are moving to the Science Park campus in 2024-2025, and we've named this exciting journey #SPBound. To give you a sneak peek into the amazing opportunities that await our students, we've created the #SPBound Story Series. Enjoy the last story in our series!

Prepare to be amazed if you haven't visited our Science Park campus yet! Recently renovated, it boasts world-class learning environments with an open-concept design that fosters innovative learning spaces. You’ll literally witness learning happening everywhere!

In the classroom, students will have access to advanced Seewo TVs with touch screens, flexible furniture, dry erase tabletops, and various seating and standing options. Additionally, Science Park’s open-concept design has classrooms with movable walls that promote collaboration and community, which is especially useful for large group projects – perfect for Grade 5 PYP Exhibition!

Outside of the classroom, students can use our Pathfinder spaces, which are our spacious hallways designed for learning break-out sessions. This area is equipped with a variety of seating options, including sofas, booths, and large tables, making it ideal for projects and groups of different sizes. Most importantly, students can create an environment that best suits their individual learning needs.

Outdoor spaces also showcase our open-concept design, including the stunning plaza at Science Park’s entrance. This plaza features a partially covered roof and an oversized natural skylight, making it perfect for events and frequently used for lessons and other educational activities. Another notable feature is its grand staircase with 57 steps and built-in benches, which serves as a popular social hub where students gather to socialize and foster a sense of community.

Dedicated innovation spaces, such as a green room, sound booth, and multiple innovation labs equipped with design tools like 3D printers, virtual reality goggles, VEX Robotics, drones, and more, will further foster Upper Elementary students’ maker mindset. Additionally, sharing these spaces with Secondary School students allows for the exchange of unique ideas and creativity, further enhancing their learning experience.

In summary, the Science Park campus offers an exceptional learning environment through its innovative learning spaces, designed to meet the needs of every student and provide unique learning experiences both inside and outside of the classroom.

We can't wait for our Upper Elementary students to arrive!
