AISG PTA Family Fun Day
On Saturday, the PTA hosted their annual Family Fun Day at our Ersha campus. It’s our big start-of-the-year community event where everyone is excited to greet new families, connect again with returning families and for everyone to celebrate another school year together.
It was a hot, hot, hot, day on Saturday and our Upper Secondary students were hard at work at their GCED (Global Citizenship Education) booths raising funds and awareness for their causes. Stations featured activities and games like limbo, crafts, ring toss, balloon darts, and fishing! The day also featured the return of the dunk tank, a crowd favorite.

Nobody left the event hungry because there was amazing food from various restaurants such as Bandidos, Oggi, Bombay Grill, Hotties, and more! There was also a teacher bake sale for yummy treats. The gym was full of people enjoying delicious food and it smelled amazing!

With the success of last year’s program, we continued to have our movie night and parent-teacher mixer! Our students settled in our MPR with blankets, pillows, and freshly popped popcorn and enjoyed watching Minions: The Rise of Gru on a high-tech LED screen with surround sound! Meanwhile, our teachers and parents enjoyed their mixer outside under twinkly lights.

A huge thank you to our PTA for organizing such a wonderful event for our community. It is inspiring to see so many happy faces enjoying the festivities to start the year. Our next PTA event will be the Holiday Celebration, which is planned to happen right before winter break and we can’t wait!

Our Parent Teacher Association works to create a deeper sense of community and involvement for all AISG students and families. They support and advocate for students by partnering with faculty, families, and the wider community to create a safe and healthy learning environment.
