Caregivers Learn About the Social Practice Program

Hosted by our Director Mr. Kevin Baker, the Social Practice Information Night held at Ersha Campus was a huge success, with over 60 Upper Secondary caregivers attending to learn more about the program, which provides students with real-work experience in top companies.

AISG is the only international school in China that offers this program! Since its pilot in 2021, it has grown to partner with nine top companies, and over 69 students have participated. With a proven model in place, the evening was about spreading the word to help the program grow even more!

After Mr. Baker's introduction explaining the history and purpose of the program, students, our partners, and parents provided their testimonials and endorsements. The evening's highlight was the presentation by two Upper Secondary students who had participated in the program. They shared the exact presentation they were required to give at the end of their program, which was the perfect demonstration for parents to witness the amount of knowledge and skills the students had acquired. The benefits of the program were evident.

In line with our mission to provide inclusive pathways and following the success of the Social Practice Program, Deputy Director Mr. Jamie Robb shared the vision of a new semester-long approach which will be integrated into the curriculum in the future. This will undoubtedly be another valuable addition to the students' university applications.

We are incredibly grateful for all the partners who have helped to grow this program. Their collaboration and support have been instrumental in its success. As part of the event, each partner was specially thanked and presented with an appreciation award.
