Congratulations Class of 2021!
Last week, our Grade 12 students graduated! We were fortunate to have been able to hold a graduation ceremony for our students and their families to attend to celebrate such a joyous occasion. We are super proud of our students for finishing their studies at AISG. They have shown amazing resiliency and perseverance during these challenging times.
It was an exciting night! To start the ceremony, the Upper Secondary orchestra played “La Rejouissance” from Royal Fireworks Music by G.F. Handel as our faculty entered the theater.

Afterwards, a video edited by one of the senior students played, depicting fun memories of our seniors during their time at AISG. It was fun and nostalgic looking back at how our students have grown during their time here.

Our students then entered to the traditional “Pomp and Circumstance” as everyone cheered and applauded as they made their way to the stage. Five students who have not been able to return to campus attended the ceremony virtually with their faces present on stage on a very large screen.

The Upper Secondary choir performed during the ceremony as well, with our senior choir members performing solos for their last performance at AISG, a touching moment for everyone.

We had great guest speakers during the night. Two Grade 12 students gave funny and heart moving speeches commemorating their time at AISG.

Our Secondary Principal, Dr. Lyso, our Director, Mr. Baker, our Board Chair, Mr. Jung, and a teacher that the graduating class nominated, Mr. Cheung, all gave great speeches with precious advice for our students to bring into the next chapter of their lives.

The grand finale included each Grade 12 student walking across the stage to receive their diploma while a spokesperson read to the audience their personal messages of thanking those who have helped them and the memories of AISG that will never be forgotten. With everyone’s diploma in hand and after the ritual of moving the tassel from the right to the left, Dr. Lyso gave the final congratulations that was met with the throwing of their caps and the boom of confetti in the air!

We are immensely proud of our students and wish them the best in their future endeavors. Remember, once a Ram, always a Ram!
