Congratulations Class of 2029!

Congratulations to our Grade 8 students! Caregivers, faculty, staff, administration, and Lower Secondary students attended the Grade 8 Promotion ceremony yesterday to celebrate their achievement of completing Lower Secondary and to wish them well when they start Upper Secondary after the summer.

The ceremony started with opening remarks from our Secondary Principal, Mrs. Lori Marek, congratulating our students on all their hard work in Lower Secondary. Secondary Assistant Principal, Ms. Ruth Herrin, Deputy Director Mr. Jamie Robb, and faculty speaker, Ms. Marlee Charlton also gave speeches, sharing fun memories as well as their well wishes to our students.

The Grade 8 Band performed at the ceremony, playing a medley of Taylor Swift’s most popular songs, which are some of our students’ favorites.

The ceremony also featured two student speakers, who shared happy memories of their time with their friends and classmates in Lower Secondary, what they’ve learned, and how they’ve grown. There was also a fun video with baby photos and current photos, inciting many smiles and laughter from the audience.

The finale of the ceremony featured our students being presented with their certificates by our Deputy Director Mr. Jamie Robb, Secondary Principal Mrs. Lori Marek, and Assistant Principal Ms. Ruth Herrin. When everyone received their certificates, students fired their confetti canons in the air as everyone applauded and cheered them on. Congratulations Class of 2029!

Lower Secondary offers the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP). The program is designed to provide students with a challenging academic curriculum that fosters exploration, critical thinking, and innovative learning. By continuing with MYP until Grade 10 in Upper Secondary, students are well prepared to continue their path of personal and academic success.
