Connections in Action: Autism Awareness
Recently, students from our Secondary GCED group Indifferent to Difference invited 20 students with autism from the Guangzhou Lingnan Modern Technician College for an afternoon of bonding, teamwork, connection, and sharing.

Our students took our visitors on a tour around our Science Park campus in small groups, exploring our learning spaces together. Afterwards, students fostered connections through fun games and activities in the plaza.

The afternoon also featured artistic collaboration and performances! Students from both schools collaborated on a piece of art, using paint and their creative imaginations to create a fun piece together. Students also showcased their musical talents as they performed for each other, celebrating their passions and abilities.

Indifferent to Difference is one of our student-led service groups, with their aim being to promote awareness about autism and to educate people about the stigma that Chinese society has towards people with autism. By visiting local autism centers and inviting students to our campus, our students can connect firsthand with people and learn more about autism.

The visit was a memorable and rewarding experience for students from both schools, providing a wonderful opportunity for fostering understanding and forging friendships.
