IB Evaluation: A Celebration of AISG's Continuous Improvement

AISG recently welcomed an International Baccalaureate® Evaluation team to assess our Primary Years Program (PYP) and Diploma Program (DP). Over a four-day period, the team's virtual visit toured our classrooms and facilities, and met with action groups from our community: students, caregivers, Board members, and faculty.

In preparation for this very important visit that happens every five years, AISG conducted a comprehensive self-study over the last 18 months, with the participation of our faculty, staff, administration, and students, to evaluate how well we are meeting the standards and practices of the IB.

The visiting team will provide a full report with identified strengths and areas for improvement. AISG will develop action plans to address the identified areas, allowing us to further strengthen our already strong programs.

The evaluation is a wonderful celebration of our students, community, faculty, leadership, and especially our PYP Coordinator, Ms. Tania Mansfield and our DP Coordinator, Mr. Matthew Wood. Their dedication and continuous focus on reflection and improvement has been integral in helping AISG grow as a school.

At AISG, we’ve worked to develop and refine programs that are tailored to meet the needs of our students and crafted to balance American curriculum with an international perspective. Our programs and systems are dynamic and driven by best-practice research. They are designed and taught by experienced educators who embrace change and embed technology in innovative ways.
