IBDP Visual & Performing Arts Showcase
This week, we celebrated the artistic and creative achievements of our Grade 12 students in IBDP Visual Arts, Music, and Theater. We invited students, faculty, staff, and caregivers to the showcase to watch, listen, and appreciate the hard work that our students have been putting in for their creative endeavors.

Music
The afternoon started off with music. Students in DP2 presented their Contemporary Music Maker component of their IBDP Music course, which is a multimedia presentation that students plan and collaborate on. This component of the course allows students to develop their music composition and production using digital tools and techniques.

Theater
Next, our Grade 12 students in IBDP Theater performed their solo theater performances. This component of the course is the last of the major assessments and is a culmination of all the skills they’ve developed as creators, designers, producers, and directors. For their solo performances, students studied a theater theorist and highlighted one aspect of the theory in their performances.

Visual Art
The visual art exhibition opened as the finale of the showcase and will be up and available for view for the rest of the month. Grade 12 students showed off the culmination of their artistic process and visions. Students picked their own themes and produced their own work as well as curated their exhibition setups.

Congratulations to our Grade 12 students for all their hard work on completing their IBDP arts courses. It was an incredible afternoon of music, theater, and visual art and we are so proud of our students for pursuing their passions.
