Fin-tastic Friends in Concert

AISG’s youngest performers, our Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 1 students, took audiences on a delightful underwater adventure in their concert Fin-tastic Friends. Inspired by the beloved story The Rainbow Fish, the production blended music, movement, and storytelling to share a message about friendship, kindness, and the joy of giving. Families filled the MPR to cheer on our students as they stepped into the spotlight, brimming with confidence and excitement.

From start to finish, the stage sparkled with ocean-themed performances. The children sang and danced their way through classic and original songs including “Oceans of Fun", "Ocean Wonders", "Under the Sea", and the lively "I’m an Octopus" rap. Each song showcased not only musical skill but also the students’ ability to work as a team, focus on timing, and express themselves through coordinated movement and voice.

This concert was more than an adorable performance; it was an impactful learning experience. Preparing for the show gave students opportunities to build confidence, practice collaboration, follow direction, and develop important communication skills. The Rainbow Fish story reinforced empathy and generosity, encouraging students to reflect on how kindness strengthens our community. Their enthusiasm and pride in sharing this message showed the transformative nature of performing arts in developing both skills and values.

At AISG, the performing arts program plays a vital role in our mission to nurture expressive, well-rounded learners. Through concerts like this, students experience the joy of creative expression while building the foundations for public speaking, teamwork, and cultural appreciation. This morning of music and friendship was a vibrant reminder that even our youngest Rams can make a meaningful impact – in learning, in community, and far beyond the stage.
