How Does Service Make a Difference?

Here’s how AISG students bring compassion to life through Being, Connecting and Doing.
Being: Fostering Empathy and Identity Through Service

Through reflection and storytelling, students build identity, empathy, and a sense of responsibility for the world around them.
Connecting: Building Community Through Real Relationships
Welcoming New Rams
GCED students kayaked with new members of our community at Haizhu National Wetland Park, connecting globally minded learners through shared experience. Connection builds belonging and belonging ignites compassion.
Doing: Turning Care into Action
Making a Real Difference
GCED groups engage in long-term partnerships, supporting community needs through:
• weekend volunteering
• delivering supplies
• cultural exchanges
• environmental care
• youth support programs
These are not single events, they are ongoing commitments that help students see the impact of consistent, thoughtful action.
Service helps your child:
• communicate respectfully across cultures
• build empathy, humility, and social awareness
• take initiative and act with confidence
• understand their role in the community
• grow into a compassionate global citizen
It strengthens character, confidence, and connection.
