Spring Music Concert

Students from Grades 8 to 12 held their Spring Concert before the break, showcasing the musical talents and skills they’ve been honing throughout their school year. The event was held in our state-of-the-art theater and attended by caregivers, faculty, and students.

Our incredible choirs were first to perform for the night. The Grade 8 choir and Upper Secondary choir performed both separately and together, performing pieces such as "Homeward Bound", "Carry the Light", and "Viva La Vida", showcasing their vocal talents through different kinds of genres. Performances featured solo performances from students, as well as student conductors!

The Upper Secondary String Ensemble and Grade 8 String Ensemble performed next, performing pieces such as "Mambo" from West Side Story, "Arabian Dreams", and music from the movie Coco.

Grade 8 Band and Upper Secondary Wind Ensemble combined forces as the finale ensemble for the evening. Together they performed "Disco Lives!", "Fanfare to Joy", and "Belah Sun Woman". "Belah Sun Woman" is a work in five movements and the performance featured student narrators who told the story while our musicians played.

During every Spring Concert we always honor and celebrate our Grade 12 students after their final performance at AISG. Students were presented with a rose to commemorate the occasion as everyone celebrated all the hard work and determination they’ve put in over the years in their musical pursuits.

A huge round of applause for all our performers! Concerts are a wonderful chance for our students to get to perform and share their talents and passions with our community.

The Performing Arts program at AISG aims to not only develop technical and expressive competencies, but also to build confidence so that students see themselves as capable performers and musicians. Click here to discover the AISG Difference.
