Springtime Melodies

Our Grade 2 and 3 students put on their spring concert recently, sharing their incredible talents and hard work they’ve been putting in during their music class. Caregivers were invited to listen and enjoy a morning of music.

Grade 2 students shared a selection of complex Orff arrangements on barred instruments such as xylophones and glockenspiel, as well as percussion instruments like the drums. Then they got up on their feet and performed some energetic folk dances, showcasing the deeper understanding that music can be expressed through different ways.

Grade 3 students presented a collection of instrumental pieces on instruments such as the recorder, cello, guitar, drums, and more. They even highlighted several original compositions created by the students themselves! Their creativity and talent shone through, leaving everyone impressed.

The show also featured live music played by talented students in our pit band! Although they were out of sight during the musical, the live music elevated the show to a whole new level, and the students' talent and dedication were evident in every note they played.

Overall, it was a memorable morning filled with music, joy, and the incredible talents of our young performers. Everyone left with smiles and a sense of pride in the students' achievements!
