AISG Hosts Goodwill Ambassador
AISG was honored to welcome Mrs. Purdue to our campus! Mrs. Perdue is the first wife of a US Ambassador to China to ever visit AISG! Serving as the nationwide Goodwill Ambassador for AmCham China’s Essay Contest commemorating America’s upcoming 250th anniversary, Mrs. Purdue inspires students across the country to explore history, culture, and the enduring US–China relationship through the power of writing.

Accompanied by Dr. Harley Seyedin, Chairman and President of AmCham South China, and James Zimmerman, Chairman of AmCham China, Mrs. Purdue brought an incredible depth of insight and global perspective to our community, as well as introducing the AmCham China essay 250 contest being conducted currently.

We are proud to share that AISG was the only school in South China she visited during this initiative — a true testament to our reputation for academic excellence, global engagement, and fostering meaningful connections. Her visit gave our Rams a rare opportunity to gain firsthand insights, ask thoughtful questions, and be part of an historic celebration of America’s story.

Moments like these enrich our community, expand our global perspectives, and remind us that AISG’s impact extends far beyond our campus.
