AISG PTA International Day 2026
At AISG, impact is often built through the moments when people come together, share who they are, and create space for others to do the same.
PTA International Day 2026 was one of those moments.

Each year, this much-loved community event brings together students, caregivers, staff, and community partners in a vibrant celebration of the cultures, identities, and traditions that shape AISG. It is a day filled with food, performances, conversation, and connection, but more than that, it is a reflection of what makes our community so special: the openness of a community that not only celebrates its differences, but invites others to experience, understand, and value them.

Throughout the event, our caregiver community–our wonderful PTA–brought this spirit to life through country booths representing cultures from around the world. Families prepared and shared food from their home countries, creating opportunities for others to experience traditions, stories, and flavors that matter deeply to them.
This year’s celebration featured a remarkable range of booths, from national and cultural tables representing communities such as Canada, Romania, Japan, India, Uzbekistan, Hong Kong, Mexico, Taiwan, Italy, and Chinese culture, to restaurant partners, activity booths, and student-led spaces that added even more energy and variety to the day. The result was a campus experience that felt joyful, welcoming, and truly global.

These moments may seem simple, but they are powerful. They remind students that identity matters, that diversity is something to be celebrated and proud of, and that community grows stronger when people feel seen, valued, and invited in.

International Day also highlighted the ways students turn awareness into action… Alongside the cultural booths, AISG students helped bring purpose-driven learning into the heart of the event. Upper Secondary GCED groups and student organizations shared causes and initiatives with the wider community, creating opportunities for visitors to engage through conversation, games, and activities. From service and environmental awareness to student leadership, these spaces reflected the many ways AISG students learn to connect compassion with action.

A special highlight of the day was the performance program… The stage remained full of life throughout the day, beginning with a welcome from Mr. Kevin Baker and an opening Lion Dance performed by Grade 5 students. From there, audiences enjoyed a rich and varied line-up that included dance, singing, instrumental performances, traditional Chinese art, the International Choir of Guangzhou, family performances, and traditional African drumming. Students from Kindergarten through Grade 5 took to the stage with confidence and joy, while caregivers and community performers added even more depth to the celebration. Together, the performances reflected the creativity, pride, and cultural richness that make International Day such a meaningful part of the AISG experience.

This is part of The AISG Impact.
A heartfelt thank you to our PTA for organizing this meaningful event, and to all caregivers, students, and community members who contributed to the day. Your time, care, and participation helped create an experience that reflected the very best of AISG.
Our Parent Teacher Association plays an important role in building connection and involvement across our school community, and International Day is one powerful example of that impact in action.
