AISG Social Practice During Winter 2025
Our Social Practice Program offers students a valuable opportunity to engage in experiential learning, gain real-world experience, and develop new skills. To date, we are proud that the program has provided professional opportunities to 91 Upper Secondary students through 12 partner companies. Through this initiative, students gain meaningful, hands-on work experience in fields related to their studies or career interests, helping them build confidence and make a positive impact on their future academic and professional paths.

The program has continued to grow and expand, with students having the opportunity to gain exposure to a wider range of industries. During this past winter, 10 students participated in 3 social practice programs! Here’s a quick look at these thoughtfully structured and engaging learning journeys:

Company: Deron Dental
Industry: Dentistry
A simulation-based experience aimed to provide a basic understanding of the dental industry.

The program wove together theory and hands-on application, dedicating each day to a specific theme to help them steadily build a foundational understanding of dental care. Guided by their mentors, they applied their knowledge in practical sessions and even stepped into the roles of both dentist and patient during a simulated clinic reception. This unique experience allowed them to learn first-hand how to perform a proper oral examination in the dental chair.

Company: That’s Guangzhou
Industry: Journalism
A project-based media immersion program designed to equip students with practical storytelling and digital production skills for real-world digital publishing.
Throughout the week, the students participated in an immersive and structured media training journey. The program balanced essential theory with hands-on practice, with each day focusing on a different core skill—from writing and interviewing to filming and video editing. Under professional guidance, they learned to craft articles, conduct interviews, shoot and edit video content, and even applied their skills in a real-world setting during a practice shoot at Conrad Guangzhou. By the program’s end, every student had gained practical insight into journalism and created their own publishable article or video to be released on That’s official platforms, concluding their experience as confident junior reporters.

Company: SGD Pharma
Industry: Glass Packaging
A project-based experience provided students with a basic understanding of the HR department's role in employee engagement and internal communication.

During their placement with the Human Resources department at SGD Pharma, the students took part in a project focused on internal engagement. Working alongside HR mentors, they designed and conducted a staff survey to gather feedback on company activities and collect ideas for future internal events. They also produced a summary video based on their interviews, which was later used for internal communication within the company. Through this real-world task, the students gained meaningful insight into the role of HR—from fostering workplace culture to listening to employee voices—and experienced first-hand how HR supports both staff and organizational growth.
