The recent APAC festivals – Band and Theater - have been exciting and rewarding experiences for our Upper Secondary students. Each event showcased their individual talents, while also building friendships and connections across schools from around Asia Pacific. Through music and acting, our students shone brightly, embracing teamwork, learning, and the joy of performing and competing alongside peers from across the region.

APAC Band

We had the privilege of hosting this year’s APAC Band Festival, with SASPX, CISS, TCIS, WAB, and CA attending. Students worked with guest conductor Peter Morris, the Head of Orchestral Studies and Professor in Conducting at the Queensland Conservatorium at Griffith University. Performers rehearsed over three days, learning and honing pieces both in sectionals and as a full band. Together, they refined complex pieces, shared musical tips, and experienced the thrill of playing in a large ensemble. The final performance was a spectacular showcase of skill, passion, and community spirit.

APAC Theater

TCIS in Korea hosted the Theater Festival this year, with CA, CISS, SASPX, TCIS, and WAB performers attending. This year’s theme was ‘Learn – Love – Lead’. Over three days, students worked with experts, explored new techniques, made new connections, and workshopped original performance pieces. After performing prepared pieces from each school, all performers came together for a moving finale showcase that blended talent, creativity, and friendship in one unforgettable performance.

As part of the Asia Pacific Activities Conference (APAC), AISG engages with leading international schools across the region through athletic competitions and performing arts festivals. APAC provides our students with unparalleled opportunities to travel, compete, collaborate, and represent AISG on an international stage.
