AISG’s Talented Musicians
Our amazing Kindergarten and Grade 1 students held their annual concert last week with great success! The room was filled with proud caregivers as our young students showcased their incredible singing, dancing, and instrument playing skills.

The morning started with all our Kindergarten and Grade 1 students singing one of their favorite songs “Jambo Bwana”, a Kenyan pop song. It was a treat to hear our students come together and sing and it was clear from their clear and loud voices how much they enjoyed it!

Kindergarten sang four songs they’ve been practicing this year. Each song switched up which class sang, danced, and played instruments, giving our students the chance to show off their different musical skills! They also modified and wrote their own lyrics for one of the songs “Chumbara!”

Next, Grade 1 students showed off their composing skills! They performed four songs, each one written by a different class, sharing what they love such as “Mushroom Song” and “Yummy Food.” Students played the xylophone and drums as others sang along.

The grand finale was when all our students reunited again to sing a song that they are all very familiar with – the AISG school song! It was a wonderful display of school spirit and a love of music. A huge round of applause to our students for showing the power of the performing arts and how music inspires them.

The Performing Arts program at AISG is robust and comprehensive. From Preschool to Grade 12, we provide students with experiences to develop curiosity, interest, enjoyment of their own creativity and an appreciation for the performances of others. Click here to learn more about the Arts at AISG.
