On May 28, AISG proudly inaugurated a special student art exhibition at the historic Wan Mu Cottage, a renowned venue in the Yuexiu District, known for its rich cultural heritage. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Wan Mu Cottage and AISG families for their generous donations and support to make this event possible through the Annual Fund.
The opening ceremony began with a beautiful performance done by orchestra students from Grade 6. Esteemed guests, including Consulate Generals and AISG caregivers, gathered to celebrate the artistic achievements of our talented young artists.
The exhibition featured a diverse collection of 32 artworks created by students from the International Baccalaureate® Diploma Programme (IBDP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), and donor families. The showcased pieces encompassed a range of themes and mediums, highlighting the creativity and skills of students across different grade levels.
The juxtaposition of contemporary student artwork against the traditional backdrop of Wan Mu Cottage created a unique and stimulating visual experience. Visitors had the opportunity to appreciate the intricate contrast between modern creativity and the historical significance of the venue.
The art exhibition provides our students with the platform to showcase their artistic talents in such a prestigious and meaningful setting. It was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impression on all who visited. The blend of student creativity and historical ambiance provided a memorable experience that highlighted the incredible artistry of our young artists. We are grateful to everyone who supported the Annual Fund, making it a truly special occasion for our AISG community.
The AISG Annual Fund is a yearly fundraising effort where donations are received from the whole school community to provide our students with exceptional enrichment opportunities or better yet, "transformative learning journeys" beyond the classroom.
