AISG is an IB World School and has close to 20 years of IB experience with its authorization in 2004 from the International Baccalaureate Office to offer the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and the Diploma Programme (DP). Even more exciting, AISG is on the path to becoming an IB World Continuum School by applying for the the Middle Years Programme (MYP) in the next school year.

The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.

IB Journey at AISG

The Preschool program at AISG is inquiry-based and driven by our belief that all students are curious, creative and capable. Through play, we provide a concept driven, transdisciplinary program framed by the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), and Creative Curriculum.

 

Our inquiry-based Elementary curriculum is also framed by the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) that provides a concept-driven, transdisciplinary approach to teaching and learning. Our teachers are committed to creating a dynamic environment which supports and promotes compassionate and connected learning. 

 

Our Lower Secondary and first two years of Upper Secondary are already inquiry-based but will soon be enhanced with the implementation of the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP). Its curriculum framework comprises of eight subject groups, providing a broad and balanced education for early adolescents.

Our last two years of Upper Secondary program offers a challenging academic curriculum which fosters exploration, critical thinking, and innovative learning while also best preparing students for success in the IB Diploma Programme (DP). Our framework is geared towards creating dynamic, compassionate, and connected learners.

 

Spotlight: AISG PYP Programme

AISG’s PYP Programme is focused on learning and growing. We develop the whole child through a trans-disciplinary, inquiry approach and place the learner at the center of all we do. We learn through playing, asking questions, being risk takers and trying new things. Guided by the phases of the Inquiry Cycle, students explore, document, reflect and act resulting in an authentic and personalized journey. Watch the video to learn more.
