EdTechGZ 2025: Leading Educational Innovation

AISG's annual educational innovation and technology conference EdTechGZ returned on Saturday, with over 680 people signing up for the event! We are so pleased that each year we can offer this event for FREE and it keeps on getting bigger and better. It is now one of the largest educational technology conferences in South China.

The event was attended by educators from all over China and educators even traveled from as far as the Philippines, Indonesia, India, and the US! We also invited AISG caregivers to the event to learn more and gain insight on innovation and the digital landscape that their children are navigating at school.

The focus of the conference was for educators to come together and share their expertise in technology and design innovation that are used in classrooms to support education. Over 90 sessions were available for attendees to choose from, with topics this year including AI, XR, 3D printing, play based learning, multilingual learners, and more.  There were sessions in both English and Chinese, allowing for a more inclusive event.

This year’s event featured two keynote speakers: Dr. Scott McLeod and Dr. Shannon Doak. Dr. McLeod, one of the most influential and recognized education professors in the United States, kicked off the event with his presentation, ‘Harnessing Technology for Deeper Learning’, sharing inspiring stories from schools where they combine student agency and technology to reach profound outcomes. Dr. Doak, a renowned Edtech and Innovation Leader, closed the event with his presentation, ‘Our Responsibility in an AI-Driven Future: Guiding the Next Generation’, delving into the crucial role of educators and their role in shaping a generation prepared for a world vastly different from today with the growing development of AI and dynamic technologies.

In addition to the sessions, attendees had the chance to explore 19 sponsor booths showcasing innovative hands-on technology, including AR, VR, and CAD. These technologies offer diverse ways to enhance classroom learning. Thank you to our sponsors who make it possible for attendees to join the event for FREE every year!

The event also served as a fantastic opportunity for educators from various schools to connect and network. Attendees enjoyed a delicious barbecue lunch – a tradition now for many years, participated in the exciting lucky draw with amazing prizes - like an iPhone 16, a Macbook Air, Apple Watch, 65” TV, electric scooter, and more - and concluded the day with a social gathering that allowed for further mingling and fun.
