Happy Teachers' Day!
"Teachers are the ones who could propagate the doctrine, impart professional knowledge, and resolve doubts." - Han Yu (768-824 AD), a Chinese historian, poet and writer in Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD)
Thursday, September 10 is designated as Teachers' Day in China. It's a day to honor and show respect and gratitude for the hard work that teachers do, in order to educate China's future generations.

This date was established as an official holiday by the Chinese government in 1985 to recognize the important work of China's educators. On this day, students, as well as the community, express their appreciation to all teachers.

AISG's teachers are not only well educated and have numerous years of experience in their field, but in this past year, they also have shown how resilient, cooperative, creative, flexible, and professional they are. With several teachers still outside of Guangzhou, hybrid learning continues, and because of our team of high-quality teachers, it continues successfully.

The 2020-2021 school year brings 28 new teachers to AISG and they continue to add to our community's rich diversity that represents over 50 nationalities. Our teachers come from18 countries from around the world: USA, Canada, China, UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Russia, Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, Singapore, Japan, Indonesia, Brazil, Korea, Switzerland, Belgium, Namibia, and Armenia. AISG employs 110 teachers who have an average of 16 years of experience in education, and 76% of them hold a master's degree or above. Our teachers and students are further supported with 7 short-term teachers, 39 teaching assistants, and 28 learning mentors, who are all located in Guangzhou and are vitally important to the success of our current hybrid learning model.

With the landscape of education drastically changing in the past year, teachers are the instrumental and the driving force in moving our education forward and are the reason why there is so much to celebrate. Our gratitude towards our biggest Rams goes beyond what we can measure.
AISG wishes all teachers and educators a very Happy Teachers' Day!
