IBDP Mock Exams
This week, students in Grade 12 have been writing their IBDP Mock Exams. The students sit at least one exam in every subject they take in the diploma programme, with final exams taking place in May every year. With many students relying on their final IBDP scores to confirm their offers at university, Mock Exams are a crucial step in preparing them for their Final Exams in May.

The Exams and the conditions mirror the Final IBDP Exams to make the experience as authentic for the students as possible. This helps students familiarize themselves with the examination process and can aid to calm their nerves. This is an extremely challenging week for our Grade 12 students, but the students have risen to the challenge well and have shown great determination!

Mock Exam grades do not contribute to the final IBDP subject grades but reflect on areas of individual strength and areas for growth in each subject. In advisory sessions following the exams, students will have the opportunity to reflect on their results. Based on this reflection, two-way conversations between students and teachers occur to highlight areas for improvement before the final IBDP exams, which can contribute up to 80% of the final grade. The Mock Exams are another step to help ensure that we are all working towards student success in the final exams in May.
