Here is the latest update on our Social Practice program at AISG. This program provides a professional learning experience for our Upper Secondary students to gain meaningful, practical real-work experience related to a field of study or career interest.
During the April break, a group of 22 students from Grades 10 and 11 participated in our Social Practice program at two different industries to learn about their respective fields and apply their academic knowledge to real-world situations.
Sanqi Interactive Entertainment
11 students went to Sanqi Interactive Entertainment, a gaming programming company, where they were able to learn about the process of game development from conception to release. Students were assigned mentors in different departments based on the topics that they chose beforehand. They had access to the industry's resources and had the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals who provided guidance and feedback throughout the program.
YSG
The other 11 students went to YSG to learn about the e-commerce retail industry. Students were given the opportunity to observe and learn from professionals working in various departments, including marketing, branding, and product creation. They also worked on a group project that involved creating a marketing plan for a new product launch.
What Did They Learn?
The program culminated in a presentation, where each team presented their findings and what they learned throughout the project. The presentation was an opportunity for the students to showcase their work, share their insights, and receive feedback from their peers and mentors.
Both groups of students had a unique and valuable experience. They were able to learn from professionals in their respective industries, apply their academic knowledge in a practical setting, and develop new skills that will serve them well in their future academic and professional pursuits.
Program Benefits
Our Social Practice program is a valuable opportunity for students to engage in experiential learning, gain real-world experience, and develop new skills. We are proud of the 22 students who participated in this year's program and are confident that they will continue to make positive contributions to society as they move forward in their academic and professional careers in the future.
AISG’s Social Practice Program is a fitting example of the AISG Difference that strives to nurture our students with high levels of learning and develops programs that encourage each student to embrace their own personal potential.
