Speaker Series: Susie Zhang
This week as part of our Speaker Series, Susie Zhang came to talk to AISG parents about Positive Discipline. Zhang is a certified Lead Trainer in Positive Discipline for Early Childhood Educators, Positive Discipline in the Classroom, Teaching Parenting the Positive Discipline Way, and Keep the Joy in Relationships, by the Positive Discipline Association.

She has spent 12 years devoted to the subject of Positive Discipline and has trained more than 6,000 educators on the subject. Zhang has worked with kindergartens, schools, and educational institutes in China as an educational consultant to implement Social Emotional Learning/Positive Discipline school wide.

The presentations took place at Kingold Century in Zhujiang New Town, where parents enjoyed stunning views of the city. Over 150 parents attended over two days, with sessions available in both Chinese and English.

Parents participated in role playing exercises, engaged in great discussion, and asked questions. Zhang's extensive knowledge and experience along with her welcoming nature had everyone fully engaged in this unique learning experience. We are pleased to have been able to connect with her and have her help AISG parents with such an important topic.

This event was sponsored by the AISG Annual Fund Speaker Series that brings fascinating people with their captivating stories into our school to inspire, enlighten and transform learning. The speakers are invited to AISG from all over the world and share their experiences.

Made possible through generous donations from our AISG community, we are excited to bring these extraordinary speakers and look forward to the many more who will come to touch the minds and hearts of the members of the AISG Community.
