Sportsmanship and Showmanship at APAC
The recent APAC festivals and tournaments have been exciting and rewarding experiences for our Upper Secondary students. Each gathering not only highlighted their individual talents but also fostered a strong sense of community and collaboration among participating schools.

Basketball
This year, we hosted the Basketball Tournament, with CA, ISB, SFS, SASPD, and SASPX attending. Our players had a fantastic end to their season and showcased their sportsmanship and competitive spirit. Our community showed up to support our students during their games and brought an incredible energy while they cheered our athletes on.

Swimming
The swim tournament was hosted by Brent in Manila. The three-day competition saw many students swim their personal best times, make connections with fellow APAC swimmers, and some smashing the finals and placing top 12 in APAC. Swimmers from CISS, HKIS, ISB, SFS, SASPD, SASPX, WAB, and UNIS also attended.

Table Tennis
Our table tennis teams traveled to SASPD to attend their tournament. Competing against athletes from CISS, SFS, HKIS, ISB, SASPD, SASPX, and WAB, they demonstrated exceptional teamwork and sportsmanship. The event not only highlighted their dedication to the sport but also fostered camaraderie among participants.

Theater
CA hosted the Theater Festival this year, with SFS, SASPX, SASPD, and ISB attending. This year’s theme was ‘Overcoming the Monster’ and the festival kicked off with a performance of the classical Japanese dance-drama of Noh. Over three days, students worked with experts, explored new techniques, made new connections, and workshopped original performance pieces. Students also got to perform pre-prepared pieces by school before everyone coming together for an incredible finale showcase.

Band
This year’s Band Festival was hosted by ISB, with SASPD, SASPX, SFS, and CA performers attending. Students worked with guest conductor Dr. Travis Cross over three days, learning and rehearsing pieces both in sectionals and as a full band. The festival was a great way for our students to experience playing in a large band and immersing themselves in learning and practicing for the performance on the final day.

A huge round of applause for our students for the dedication and hard work they’ve put in during these intensive events. Our focus on holistic education empowers students to explore diverse interests and pathways, preparing them for future challenges while nurturing their passions. We look forward to more opportunities for our students to shine, connect, and inspire each other in the future!
