Visiting Speaker Inspires AISG Students to Change the Future

As a part of our Speaker Series, Ine Baetens of the Flemish Government held small classroom sessions and a gave a keynote speech to our Middle and High School students. She impacted our student body by sharing her passion for changing the future and creating a sustainable world.

Ms. Baetens focuses her work on how governments and communities can work together to meet the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. She is currently the Coordinator of the Flanders (Belgium) Government Domestic and International Sustainable Development Policy and has worked with the UN Commission on Sustainable Development and attended the Rio +20 Summit, negotiating the sustainable development goals as well as participating in the Members of the Council of 2030 Agenda of Sustainable Development.

She left our Rams with this departing message:  "Change the future, make the world a better place, but don't forget to keep calm and have fun."
