Grade 5 Moving Up: From the PYP to the MYP
The Grade 5 Moving Up Ceremony was a joyful celebration of achievement and new beginnings. Our students successfully completed the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) and are stepping into the Middle Years Programme (IB MYP) with confidence, curiosity, and excitement.

Over their PYP journey, they became skilled in inquiry, collaboration, and creative problem‑solving. They explored big ideas, connected learning across disciplines, and developed resilience, global awareness, and empathy. These experiences shaped them into independent thinkers who understand their role in a diverse, interconnected world.

Our IB curriculum equips students with both academic excellence and lifelong skills. The PYP laid a strong foundation in research, communication, and critical thinking, preparing them for the MYP’s more demanding academics, interdisciplinary projects, and service learning. In the MYP, they will deepen their analysis, strengthen leadership skills, and apply knowledge in meaningful, real‑world contexts.

The learning impact of this transition is profound: they carry forward inquiry habits, creativity, confidence, and a vision for making a positive difference. Moving from PYP to MYP is not just advancing a grade, it’s a leap into greater independence and opportunity.

Congratulations Grade 5, you are explorers turned innovators, ready to embrace every challenge ahead with courage, curiosity, and the IB spirit of learning for life.
