Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival from AISG! Elementary students celebrated the holiday with our annual Mid-Lantern Parade.

Students from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 2 have been diligently crafting and decorating stunning lanterns in their art classes, eagerly showcasing their creations during the parade! Adorned with sparkling lights, vibrant paper, paint, drawings, and stickers, these imaginative lanterns illuminated the campus as the young artists paraded proudly before entering the MPR, where their Grade 3 to 5 classmates eagerly awaited their arrival.

Inside the MPR, a magnificent bridge was set up on stage, adding to the festive atmosphere! Our younger students took turns crossing this enchanting bridge with their lanterns, creating a magical sight. Meanwhile, the audience of older students filled the air with beautiful melodies, performing songs they had learned for this special occasion, including "但愿人长久" (May We All Be Blessed With Longevity) and "弯弯的月亮" (Curvy Moon). The combination of creativity and celebration made for a truly unforgettable event!

After the parade, students had fun learning about some Chinese customs, games, and stories! Students learned about the legend of Chang’e, painted fans, tried pomelo, guessing riddles, folding paper, and more! At AISG, we believe that celebrating the holidays and traditions of our host country is important for our students to gain a deeper appreciation of the local culture and helps create a globally connected community.

Wishing everyone has a wonderful Mid-Autumn Festival!
