IBDP Arts Showcase: Creativity at its Finest
The AISG IBDP Visual and Performing Arts Showcase was a testament to AISG’s thriving arts program, where young people are empowered to tell their stories, explore their creativity, and make their mark on the world. We proudly celebrated the artistic and creative achievements of our Grade 12 IBDP Visual Arts and Music students, inviting the whole community to watch, listen, and immerse themselves in the incredible work these young artists have poured their hearts into.
IBDP Music
The afternoon started with our talented IBDP Music students showcasing their Area of Inquiry 2: Music for Listening and Performing, a component of the curriculum. Students explored music through a specific lens, connecting performance, composition, and analysis with cultural, historical, and artistic contexts.
Students presented their explorations and creations before their performance of pieces and songs like “Greenlight”, “Isn’t She Lovely”, “Amazing Grace”, and “Another Night”. It was a wonderful showcase of talent and hard work from our incredible musicians!
IBDP Visual Arts
The opening of the IBDP Visual Arts Exhibition marked the next highlight of the IBDP Arts Showcase. This exhibition was the culmination of two years in the IBDP Visual Arts course, with students sharing insights into their artistic process, the intentions behind their work, and the inspirations that shaped each piece.
Walking through the exhibition, visitors could feel the individuality, experimentation, and confidence that define AISG’s emerging artists. The event showcased not only creativity and skill, but also resilience and vision, qualities that will serve these students well beyond graduation. Some of the themes explored this year include “Escaping Reality”, “Surveillance”, “Fear”, “Destiny”, and “Formation”.
Congratulations to our Grade 12 IB Arts students for completing their courses with passion and excellence, proving once again that AISG is a place where the arts flourish and creativity thrive.
