Shrek the Musical JR. - An Outstanding Peformance
Our Secondary spring musical Shrek the Musical JR. was a great success last week! Our student performers put on an incredible show with singing, dancing, acting, and more. Our caregivers, faculty, staff, and students had an incredible time watching the show and the cheers and applause were plentiful at every show.

The talented cast of the show worked hard over the last couple of months to prepare for the show, learning lines, choreography, and songs. Their hard work and dedication paid off. The cast even featured some of our Elementary students!

The show also featured live music played by our talented students in the theater pit. Although they were out of sight during the musical, the live music elevated the show to a whole new level, and the students' talent and dedication were evident in every note they played. The audience was mesmerized by the music, and it added to the overall magical atmosphere of the production.

The Upper Secondary art club played a significant role in the production, creating amazing backgrounds on the huge LED screen that transported the audience to the magical land of Far Far Away. The Upper Secondary studio art 3D class also contributed to the production by designing and constructing the sets, bringing the world of Shrek to life on stage. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the production, from the intricate set design to the stunning costumes.

Behind the scenes, crew members worked hard to ensure the production ran smoothly. Students acted as stagehands and helped with setting up the scenery, working the lighting, ensuring the sound equipment worked, and more. The production would not have been possible without their hard work.

The musical was open to the Guangzhou public and the AISG community, allowing everyone to show their immense support for our students and our performing arts program. Kindergarten to Grade 5 students traveled to Science Park together for a sneak peek of the production during the final dress rehearsal and our young students were delighted, wearing their Shrek ears with pride as they cheered and clapped. The production ran for three days, giving everyone a chance for great entertainment.

A huge standing ovation for all our students involved in the production of Shrek the Musical JR.! It was incredible to see our students showcase their passions and talents in the performing arts.
