The Upper Secondary Athletics and Activities Awards

I don’t know about you, but when I think back on my own school days, some of the clearest memories are not from sitting at a desk. I can still hear the cheers from the bleachers. I can remember walking into game days with friends, the nervous energy before a performance, the applause after a school play, and the small rituals that somehow became part of the whole experience. The team huddles. The bus rides. The rehearsals. The final whistle. The flower bouquets handed out after the show.
These are the moments that stay with us.

Of course, academics are crucial. But school life is also made up of the moments where students discover what they love, what they are capable of, and where they feel they belong.

The American International School of Guangzhou (AISG) Upper Secondary Athletics and Activities are part of that story. Through sport, music, theatre, dance, robotics, Model United Nations, APAC events, and the many opportunities students have to participate, perform, compete, lead, and contribute, students are building much more than a list of activities.
They are building confidence.
They are building resilience.
They are building friendships.
They are building pride.
And for many students, these are the experiences they will remember long after graduation.

AISG is proud to provide students with the most extensive athletics and activities program of an international in South China.
And behind these numbers is a community of coaches, directors, teachers, staff, and families whose dedication and support make these moments possible.

As we celebrate this year’s Upper Secondary Athletics & Activities Awards, we are celebrating achievement, but we are also celebrating the effort, joy, commitment, teamwork, courage, and school spirit.

At AISG, whole-child education means celebrating every part of how students grow. Not only what they achieve in the classroom, but how they show up on the court, on the stage, in the pool, on the field, in rehearsal rooms, around robotics tables, and within the communities they help create.
That is the AISG Impact: impact through learning, impact through community, and impact that students carry with them beyond graduation.
