What an exciting week it’s been as we welcomed students back on campus this week for the start of the 2023-2024 school year! Our campuses aren’t complete without our students and the energy they bring to our classrooms and hallways. Teachers and students alike were overjoyed to be reunited after the summer, as well as welcoming new students and meeting new faculty members.

In Elementary, students gathered in their classrooms to meet their new teachers, set expectations for the year, and familiarized themselves with their new classrooms. Our Preschool and Kindergarten students and caregivers attended meetings with their teachers to give our students a more seamless transition from home to the classroom.

Secondary students attended grade-level meetings on their first day and met with their advisors, refreshed their memory of our Secondary student expectations, and how to be active in care. At the end of the day, our students enjoyed our annual ice cream social to celebrate completing the first day of school! This year there was a twist, students couldn’t go to get their own ice cream, they had to give it to someone, which was a wonderful interactive way for students to find new friends and reconnect with old ones.

August in AISG is also AISG Cares month, where we celebrate friendship! With new students joining our community every year in August, we encourage our students to make them feel welcome and make new friendships. Banners and graphics around our campuses encourage students to remember different ways they can care about their classmates around them.

We are all excited about everything to come during this school year! With the end of zero-COVID protocols and the grand opening of our new Athletics and Activities facility, it will be sure to be a memorable year for everyone in RamNation!
