What Comes After University Offers Arrive
The next stage, following university offers, is not a call to stop and wait. It is the moment students dive into reflection, discussion, and preparing for transition.
At the American International School of Guangzhou (AISG), students do not navigate this stage alone. They are supported by teachers, counselors, caregivers, and a community that understands the university journey is more complex than a yes or no answer.
University and Future Pathways counselors sit down with students to think carefully about what comes next:
• Which environment will help them thrive?
• Which path feels right academically, personally, and practically?
• What kind of support will they need as they prepare for greater independence?
• What kind of support will they need once they reach university?
This is where decision support matters.

That mix of excitement and uncertainty is natural. Offers bring opportunity, but they also bring choice. For many students, the next question becomes: now that I have options, how do I decide?
That distinction matters.
For students, waiting can be one of the most difficult parts of the journey.

That perspective is essential.

Once offers arrive, the conversation shifts. Students begin weighing options, comparing environments, and thinking more seriously about where they will thrive.

That’s the AISG Impact. Adaptability and resilience.
Ms. Dasari explains that preparing students for the next chapter happens both through everyday teachable moments and through explicit transition support. One model used at AISG is RAFT, a framework based on the idea of “leaving well to enter well.” AISG explored this concept with caregivers during an April evening presentation, and seniors also received strategies in a separate session designed to help them prepare for what comes next.
The support does not stop after graduation. Our AISG support goes beyond graduation, and that’s what it means to be a part of the AISG community; the AISG alumni RamNation.
