What Students Learned About Themselves During the University Application Journey
From the outside, the university application process can look like deadlines, essays, and a great deal of preparation. For students, it often becomes something more: a process of self-discovery.
For many families, the application journey is easiest to measure in visible milestones: researching universities, writing essays, meeting deadlines, and waiting for decisions.
But for students, the process often reveals something less visible and far more personal. It reveals who they are becoming.
At the American International School of Guangzhou (AISG), the university application journey is not only about where students may go next. It is also about what they learn about themselves along the way: how they respond to pressure, what they value, what kind of environments suit them, and what direction feels right.

At AISG, growth is part of the impact.
Please share the extraordinary experiences of our incredible Class of 2026. We are so proud of them, and all they have achieved.
